Milla was born in Kiev, Ukraine, in the former Soviet Union in the family of the Russian actress Galina Loginova and Serbian doctor
Bogić Jovović. Milla moved to the USA with her parents in 1980 where she became a
Hollywood superstar. In spite of the fact that the actress has been
living in America for a long period of time, she didn't forget her
native language and speaks Russian very well. Surely, she has a little
accent as all Russian-speaking kids who were raised abroad, but nevertheless her speech is very clear, witty, and idiomatic. She also teaches her daughters Russian, and they travel to Moscow together quite often.
